Great picture. We don't have trees that pretty here in NJ.

Ahh. Makes me homesick. Funny I should say that, since Eugene was only my home from '96 to '99, but I do miss it. Love your site. I have a 2 meg Fuji just like yours, but I can't make it sing the way you can. How long, on average, do you usually spend in the "darkroom" of PhotoShop working on images? I've wanted to get a computer with a nice big monitor and a video blaster card and photoshop to be able to play with my pictures, but haven't felt I could invest that much in the hobby (especially since I just invested in a piano).

Keep up the good art!

For each photo, I spend between 5-20 minutes, depending on what I want to accomplish and/or how it's responding to various changes. Some photos will end up with 4 or more different prints. Most of the time I just hit the brightness/contrast and the selective color option or the desaturate button and that's it. I don't know half of what Photoshop can do. I spend most of my time cropping or trimming left and right on my camera so one photo can have 5 different viewpoints. But the camera shots don't always translate to good pictures on the computer. I never know quite what I'm going to get until it's full size. Maybe that's my camera or maybe it's my lack of skills.
