This photo is completely untouched. It is straight from my Fuji Finepix 2.0. I guess that camera can take a really great macro shot. I love catching the colors of the cats eyes... so expressive and so endless.

Rather than bore the rest of the world with more cat pictures...I am taking the week off. I will be getting a brand new camera for Christmas while I'm in Wisconsin and I'm sure I'll test it on everything and everybody on Christmas Day. Stay tuned and happy holidays.

He's going to the vet on Thursday for one week of boarding while I go home to Wisconsin for Christmas. He is gonna be so mad at me.

Sunday Clouds

I couldn't leave the house on Sunday because I was sick. So I took pictures from the window. Between the rain and fog, there was just a few short hours of blue sky.

Eugene Public Library

The new library is a beautiful building. The circular staircase and skylight are really a sight to see. I love spending time there. I took home a stack of books, as did my roommate. I am only limited by the length of my arms.
Speaking of books, I got this book at St. Vincent's last week called The Time Traveler's Wife and it is by Audrey Niffenegger. I bought it for $1.99 hardcover. I took the 500 page book home and read it in 2 days....well maybe 2 and 1/2 days (it was over finals week). It was so addictive! What I didn't realize till I went to Borders today is that it's on the bestseller list. I got it for 2 bucks and it was so totally worth it. I'd say it's the best book I've read all year.

My Buddy

©Punkin Dunkin Productions

Dan is doing much better on the medication. He's itching less and his fur is starting coming back in. He hung out with me this weekend while I was zonked out on cold medication. He let me hold him and rock him to sleep like a little baby. He had some annual shots last week so he wasn't feeling very well either. The two of us just sat around and slept a lot.

Objects In Mirror

©Punkin Dunkin Productions

So, I've been thinking about New Year's resolutions lately. I have a laundry list of things I want to change about myself; my procrastinating tendencies, my remaining pounds to lose, relationships with family members and friends, preventative health measures for my cats, better spending habits, more books and less TV. .... the list just goes on and on. What I've come to realize these last few weeks is that I really should spend less time on the list of things to be accomplished next year, and spend more time looking over the things I've already achieved this year.

1. Not only did I get into a 4-year college, but also I've completed one full year's worth of semesters and I'm still standing.
2. My study habits have got to change. I’ve recognized that fact this year and have begun the process to fix it so that I am successful with the rest of my undergraduate studies. I am making clear choices that will help me to get one step closer to grad school and to getting the degree as well as the career that I’ve always wanted.
3. I've lost 63 pounds and gained insights about my relationship with food.
4. I've discovered that my cat TG will sit still on my lap if I rub his forehead. This is a major breakthrough for a cat that never wants anything to do with me.
5. My cousin and I are more alike than I ever realized.
6. I can take good photographs. I have found a new hobby this year that keeps me busy and content.
7. My parents are invaluable to me. For the first time since I moved away, I wish I lived closer to home to be near them and the rest of my family.
8. I contacted some previous boyfriends. One encounter went very well and the other did not. I have worked hard to be at peace with that relationship. No matter the outcome, I am proud of myself for making the effort to extend the olive branch.
9. This year has been the best year I’ve had since 1997.

Finals are done and it's time to party! If only I didn't have a car payment and rent and vet bills and credit cards to pay off, I could just coast thru the rest of the month. But, lucky me, I get to spend half my vacation working 80 hours. Oh Shwell...

Now that I have time, I promise there will be better pictures to come.

finals almost over...finals almost over...can rest soon....

For those of you who might be interested, my roommate just got tapped for a job at Lunar Logic here in Eugene. And this is going to be a really good thing for him! He will be working in his field, making more money, and he won't have to speak to anymore mean customers on the phone! I'm very proud of him. This is great news for the new year. We are now planning on moving downtown next June to save on gas and be closer to our jobs and school. Good job Tudeski! You really deserve this.

Evil Sponge Bob Has Taken Over the World

©Punkin Dunkin Productions

not my usual photograph... but I found it amusing. I'm not into Spongie four square pants. And if I was, I wouldn't steal just to complete my collection.

UPDATE: This particular Sponge Bob balloon on Franklin Blvd. in Eugene was stolen last friday night. I'm glad I got his picture just before he vanished!
